The International eLearning Institute for New Music ‘ILINM’ (UID CHE-480.218.022) was initiated and developed through the vision of composer Mehdi Hosseini. Conceived as a Learning Center for New Music, ILINM serves as an international online platform for young and passionate composers, musicians, and music scholars who are eager to pursue their creative growth, skills, and understanding of contemporary music. The Institute provides a meeting point for diverse musical influences from around the world, where unique new music created by composers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries converge at a global crossroads of musical paths that continue to emerge and evolve worldwide.

One of the main goals of the Institute is to be a source of research and development for new music and its community of world-leading artists and scholars, who bring innovative and interdisciplinary perspectives to research in composition, performance, sonic arts and multimedia, music technology, improvisation, analysis, and new music studies.

Additionally, ILINM is the platform of New Music, an online resource which encourages dialogue between the public, its audiences and contemporary musicians and composers from around the world. The Institute will stage music events and an ‘International New Music Festival’, as well as creating an environment that encourages questioning, collecting and disseminating information from the most interesting and experimental contemporary music scenes in Europe and elsewhere.

The aim of The International eLearning Institute for New Music is to provide a high quality learning experience in a nurturing and diverse learning community, where each student will be able to develop his/her unique potential as a composer. In doing so we strive to be part of the contemporary world music community that shapes its future by discovering and supporting talents everywhere.

Our vision at the International eLearning Institute for New Music is guided by the belief that learning has no boundaries. We inspire and empower students’ learning in a collaborative, innovative, and caring environment with innovative and effective teaching and learning strategies.
