The upcoming Intensive Summit is both an International Music Festival and a Summer Academy. It offers young artists of modern music the opportunity through the creation of innovative compositions to explore the fundamental questions of contemporary reality. Its goal is to give composers the unique chance to work and learn for one week alongside outstanding professional composers and established creative music artists. The young composers who attend the Summer Academy will develop their own new works and they will be premiered live during our festival concerts.
The realisation of our Summer Academy and Festival depends much on the financial contributions from supporters and donors. Your contributions will be covering expenses needed to allow young music artists to attend the Intensive Summit. Every contribution, no matter how small or big, will be a meaningful investment to stage this outstanding creative music culture event. We provide emerging global composers with a platform for creation, high-level collaboration, and public performance—entirely free of financial barriers. We are committed to expanding our international network and increasing our annual cohort of supported artists, while bridging the gap between contemporary musical innovation and the Cypriot public.
The Intensive Summit is more than a summer academy and music festival; it is a high-level creative laboratory where the next generation of musical voices meets the world’s elite contemporary masters. Hosted in the historic heart of Nicosia, this week-long residency transforms Cyprus into a global stage for artistic research. Selected composers do not just study—they create. Through intensive mentorship and direct collaboration with world-class resident ensembles, participants bring complex new scores to life, culminating in a series of public festival concerts that showcase the future of contemporary sound.
