This one-day workshop offers a concentrated exploration of contemporary solo cello repertoire, focusing on interpretation:
How do we interpret each work so that it becomes a compelling piece of music?
How do we shape every sound into something significant and distinctive?
Participants will study key works from the 1960s to the present, analyze extended techniques, and discuss how performers interpret works that move beyond traditional practice.
