Course Overview:
This short course offers a focused exploration of interdisciplinary composition, guided by practical examples and conceptual discussion. With an acclaimed composer, you will learn compositional strategies for working with multiple media — including sound, image, light, and movement — as interconnected creative materials.
In the first two sessions, participants will study the instructor’s artistic approach through examples of works, film excerpts, sketches, and scores, while engaging in dialogue about their own artistic interests. The final two sessions shift toward methodology: how to design, organize, and technically realize projects that involve different media.
The course aims to help composers and artists develop both a conceptual and technical foundation for creating coherent, expressive multimedia works.
